Bernardo M. Cremades is the leading Spanish international arbitration practitioner. Cremades holds a Law Degree from the Universidad de Sevilla and a Doctorate from the Universität Köln. Former positions held include Spanish Representative at the Council of the International Bar Association, Co-Chairman of the Board of Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution, President of the Spanish Court of Arbitration, Co-Chairman of the International Financial and Secured Transactions Committee of the American Bar Association, International Council for Commercial Arbitration, International Chamber of Commerce Institute of World Business Law, former Representative of the Spanish Federation of Bar Associations (1981-2000), Vice President of the London Court of Arbitration and President of the Global Centre for Dispute Resolution. His international recognitions include Germany’s distinguished Verdienstkreuz Award and the French distinction of Chevalier de L’Ordre National du Mérite. Cremades is the author of numerous publications in Spanish, English and French.
